Doug Patterson

Doug Patterson leads our team of FSC certification specialists with unparalleled expertise and dedication. His journey with the Forest Stewardship Council began at its founding meeting in the 1990s, placing him among the most knowledgeable FSC experts in the United States. This wealth of experience translates directly to our clients, ensuring they receive the most practical and affordable FSC solutions tailored to their needs.

At Forest Products Certification Group, we pride ourselves on our hands-on approach. Doug and his team work closely with each company, identifying unique FSC certification opportunities that align with individual business goals. Our internal auditors, under Doug’s guidance, act more as close advisors than traditional auditors. This approach keeps our group members comfortably compliant with FSC standards while maximizing the benefits of certification.

The positive feedback from our group members across the country consistently highlights the accessibility, technical competence, and pleasant demeanor of Doug and our internal auditors. Bob Edmonds

Bob Edmonds, the founder of Forest Products Certification Group, LLC, leads our group member services with a commitment to keeping our clients stress-free and well-served. This dedication to exceptional service has been a hallmark of our organization from the beginning, and Bob continues to uphold this high standard.

With a rich educational background, Bob earned both his BS and MS degrees from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. He later co-founded the Natural Resource Institute, LLC in New Hampshire, where he provided valuable services in natural resource education, organizational management, and strategic planning.

Bob’s career in the forest industry spans over two decades, offering him a comprehensive understanding of the field from various perspectives. His journey began as a Forester in the Adirondacks, progressing through roles such as Controller, Vice President, and President of lumber manufacturing firms. This diverse experience has given Bob a deep appreciation for the complexities of running production operations, managing payrolls, ensuring customer satisfaction, and balancing additional responsibilities like certification.

Upon moving to New Hampshire, Bob’s expertise was recognized by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, where he served as the statewide Forest Industry Specialist before leading their Forestry and Wildlife Program. Now a Professor Emeritus and private contractor, Bob continues to contribute his knowledge through various services, including strategic planning, manual writing, and conducting FSC audits and assessments. He also played a key role in developing the current New Hampshire Forest Resource Plan.

Throughout his career, Bob has maintained professional credentials as a licensed New Hampshire Forester (License #10) and a Society of American Foresters Certified Forester. His commitment extends beyond his professional life, as evidenced by his active involvement in the forestry profession and his community, earning him citizen awards in two communities where he has resided.

Accounts

J.B. Cullen

J.B. Cullen brings a wealth of forestry knowledge and administrative experience to his role in Accounts Receivable at Forest Products Certification Group. With a diverse educational background, J.B. graduated from Paul Smiths College, known for its environmental and natural resource programs, before furthering his studies at West Virginia University and the University of New Hampshire.

His professional journey includes an impressive 35-year tenure with the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands, where he served as both a forester and administrator. This extensive experience in forest management and governmental operations provides J.B. with a unique perspective on the financial aspects of our forestry clients’ needs.

In recent years, J.B. has expanded his public service, having been elected as Sergeant At Arms for the New Hampshire House of Representatives for four consecutive years. This role demonstrates his commitment to public service and his ability to manage complex organizational tasks, skills that he brings to bear in his work with our clients.

Lindsay Seggelke

Lindsay Seggelke’s journey in the world of Chain of Custody (CoC) certification began in 2006, where she gained valuable hands-on experience running a CoC program at the site level. This practical knowledge forms the foundation of her expertise, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities our clients face in implementing and maintaining their CoC programs.

In 2009, Lindsay transitioned to the realm of auditing and consulting, where she has since flourished. Her transition from program management to auditing provides her with a comprehensive view of the certification process, allowing her to offer insightful and practical advice to our clients.

Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, Lindsay now calls the western suburbs of Denver home. She balances her professional life with a vibrant family life, sharing her home with three energetic children, a supportive husband, and a beloved dog. Lindsay’s ability to manage a busy household while excelling in her career is a testament to her organizational skills and adaptability – qualities that serve her well in the dynamic world of FSC auditing.

Lindsay’s approachable nature and real-world experience make her an invaluable member of our auditing team. Clients appreciate her practical insights and her ability to make the auditing process as smooth and stress-free as possible. And who knows? Taylor Crawford Bucci

Taylor Crawford Bucci has been a cornerstone of FSC Chain of Custody consultancy and auditing since 2007, bringing over 15 years of specialized experience to Forest Products Certification Group. His educational foundation was laid at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF), a prestigious institution known for its focus on the study and management of natural resources.

Currently residing in Upstate New York, Taylor’s location in the heart of a forested region keeps him closely connected to the industry he serves. His long-standing experience in the field allows him to offer our clients not just by-the-book auditing, but also insightful consultancy that can help businesses optimize their FSC CoC processes.

What sets Taylor apart is his ability to balance his professional life with his passion for music. When he’s not working with clients, Taylor can be found playing with various local bands in the Syracuse, NY area. This creative outlet not only showcases his versatility but also brings a unique perspective to his work, often resulting in innovative solutions for our clients.
